If you're accustomed to Marasco's music already, then you'll no doubt be aware of the clever sinews and the relentless capabilities that are scattered throughout his music.
For his latest EP, the Italian returns to the Surface fold for a release which is indicative of his vast strengths, as he refuses to rest on his laurels thanks to an outing which is striking for its production wherewithal and its ability to roll with the punches.
It's Marasco's title effort, ''The Effect'', which gets us underway. A raucous and well-polished piece of percussive, bass laden house music, it's the sort of track which wonderfully combines a latin flair with an undoubted dancefloor vibe.
Carola Pisaturo compliments the original as only she knows how thanks to an utterly intriguing remix, before Marasco plumps up again with ''This Is Me''; a track that's easily the record's most personal moment.
The last two remixes comes from ex-LFO man G-Man, a man who had a hand in the seminal ''LFO – Leeds Warehouse Mix''. Gez Varley clearly still knows how to roll with the best of them too, as he impresses with two highly intoxicating and layered takes on ''The Effect''.
What's more, they're also an impressive manner with which to close the EP with.
