Space To Suit San Antonio?

They say you cant keep a good man down, and San Antonio resident, Pepe Rosello, who sadly says goodbye to his beloved Space Club in Playa Den Bossa at the end of next season, is rumored to be moving his business interests to the sunset resort of San Antonio. The island rumour mill went into overdrive last week, when it was suggested that the new owners of Reco des Sol Hotel in San Antonio Bay a company named, Atenea Sabiduría, had Pepe Rosello backing it. The rumour gained traction when local newspaper, Dario de Ibiza, reported that residents in the area had collected over 800 signatures objecting to the venue being used as a daytime "Hotel Disco" similar to Ushuaia or the nearby Ocean Beach Club. The Blog understands that Mr Rosello has further exciting plans to develop another venue in association with an Ibicenco Hotelier based in Santa Eularia. It is unclear what branding the new Hotel Reco des Sol will run its business under, but it may not be the Space name as unconfirmed reports suggest that the rights to the Space brand in Ibiza do not rest with Mr Rosello, but with another powerful businessman on the island. The news that Pepe Rosello is not retiring, will be welcomed by many people, not just in Ibiza, but worldwide. Mr Rosello started his business career in San Antonio back in the early seventies and it would be fitting that he should consider ending it there. Exciting times ahead indeed.
