Dimitri Veimar - I See EP on Startalk International

Startalk International is always a delight to listen to. Although in it's infancy the label, curated by Bozzwell (HIEM) is always fresh, albeit a little haunting in it's output. They have privded in the past releases from the likes of Squarewave, People Get Real and the stunning Morgan Hammer. Their latest release is by Dimitri Veimar and is iconic of that Startalk sound. Hold on tight.

The release kicks off with the original 'I See' track. From the word go, there is a residue of European choir echoing from it's onset, while the drums set the scene for what is out to get you. Then that iconic bass sound kicks in for what this label is known for. Slightly fearful in it's delivery, the sonics play around with each other beautifully and drag you in to it's nightmare of joy.

The Gemini Brothers deliver their interpretation of the track and as per, their usual standard is delivered to a very high standard of calibre. This duo always deliver in whatever they put out whether that be a remix or original. I am yet to hear a bad track by these two and is true testiment to where their career is heading. This remix has a serious drive throughout to say the very least and has everything you could ever want for in my opinion. This is far better than the original if I am totally honest. The sound is just a lot more refined and complete. A brilliant track for sure.

The Eskimo Twins join the label to give their opinion on how the track should have been delivered. An acidic 808 from the word go, this track provides you with an audience of frequencies to say the least. It's hard not to get deeply involved with this remix. Their version has got Weatherall written all over it and I'm sure I will be dancing hard on a floor somewhere to this over the coming weeks and months. A great way to end the release and highlights entirely what this Sheffield label is all about. Great work.
